  1. I think land on the other side of Morton Way is more appropriate for this development (if there absolutely has to be one); there is an underpass already built to connect any new housing to the streamside walk.

As you put it "if there absolutely has to be one" - unfortunately, Thornbury Town Council has already made its mind up on this one, and recommended the NW Thornbury site to South Gloucestershire. If you're unhappy about this, please respond to the consultation and let your voice be heard. (See "What can you do" TAB) Why not let your town councillor know your thoughts as well?
